TOMROLL.COM
on passwords

Change you password every so often.

Write down or go to a site that produces a string of random characters.
Passwords should be meaningless to others- and you.
Keep it random, and unless you think someone is going to get into your bedroom to steal your password, then keeping it safe is pretty easy. Don't store passwords in documents on the computer.
Sometimes I go to random.com and have them generate a block of random numbers and I print the block of then circle 8 to 16 characters, not in order, from the block of characters.
Now write down the circled characters in a password diary.

I went to www.Random.org , and https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm and found some nice tools to start with.
If I used a string generated from these sources, I would further randomize the results so they did not match exactly.

My password is NOT contained in the text below, but it is given here as an example. I also inserted random characters using Shift + (number keys). AN EXAMPLE ONLY of selecting a password is to circle characters from within a block such as this and this servs as my random password.
